Terms of Service

Extralt SAS, a company organized under the laws of France (hereafter, "Extralt", "we", "our" and/or "us") provides an online software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform (the "Service") at https://extralt.com that enables businesses to extract structured ecommerce data from public websites, enrich it with AI processing, and turn it into market intelligence.

By accessing or using the Service, you ("you" or "User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.

The Service is intended for businesses. By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you are acting for purposes relating to your trade, business, craft or profession, and not as a consumer.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. If a revision is material, we will notify you (for example via email to the address associated with your account). By continuing to use Extralt after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy, available at https://extralt.com/legal/privacy, describes how we collect, use, and share your personal data. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.

License grant and restrictions

Extralt grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide right to use the Service solely for your own internal business purposes, subject to these Terms. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by Extralt.

You shall not:

  • License, sublicense, sell, resell, transfer, assign, or distribute the Service to any third party
  • Modify or make derivative works based upon the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to discover the source code of the Service
  • Access the Service to build a competitive product or service
  • Use the Service to send spam or store malicious content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems

Acceptable use and web scraping

The Service is designed to extract publicly accessible data from websites. You are solely responsible for:

  • Target site compliance: Ensuring that your use of the Service to extract data from any website complies with that website's terms of service and applicable laws
  • Data legality: Ensuring that the data you extract and how you use it complies with all applicable laws, including data protection and privacy regulations
  • No authentication bypass: The Service only extracts publicly accessible data. You may not use the Service to access password-protected, login-required, or otherwise restricted content

Extralt provides the technical infrastructure for data extraction. We do not monitor or control which websites you choose to extract data from. You bear full responsibility for your use of extracted data.

Extralt reserves the right to limit, throttle, or suspend access to the Service if your usage is deemed abusive, disproportionate, or likely to degrade the Service for other users. This includes excessive API requests, abnormal consumption patterns, or any activity that places undue strain on our infrastructure.

Account and customer data

You are responsible for all activity occurring under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Extralt does not own any data that you extract using the Service ("Customer Data"). You retain all rights to your Customer Data. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of all Customer Data.

When you use enrichment features, Extralt processes your extracted data using AI to translate, classify, and match products. You can only access enriched product data for products you have extracted. Your extraction data, including the specific URLs you extract and your pricing and availability data, remains private to your organization.

We may delete or remove Customer Data without notice if you materially breach these Terms. Non-payment is handled as described under Non-payment and suspension.

Intellectual property

Extralt owns all rights, titles, and interests in the Service, including all related intellectual property rights. The "Extralt" name and logo are trademarks of Extralt SAS. No right or license is granted to use them without our prior written permission.

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service may be used by Extralt without any obligation to you.

Charges and payment

The Service is offered through a free Start plan and paid monthly Scale subscription plans. Credits are consumed based on the product features you use. Extract consumes one credit per successfully generated Capture from a product URL. Enrich consumes one credit per successfully enriched Capture, including the resulting Item and associated analytics data.

The Start plan is free and requires no payment information. It includes a one-time grant of credits, valid for 30 days, for the first organization you create. Each person receives this grant only once: members invited to an existing organization and organizations you create later do not receive it. The amount of the grant and the features and limits of the Start plan are described on our pricing page and may change. We may withhold or revoke the grant where we reasonably suspect that it is being obtained through multiple accounts or otherwise abused.

Each Scale plan includes a set number of credits per billing period. The dashboard Agent and supported AI-assisted dashboard queries are included with an active Scale subscription, are not available on the Start plan, and do not consume credits. Work approved through the dashboard Agent consumes the same Extract and Enrich credits that would apply if that work were started from another dashboard or API surface. Agent access ends when the organization no longer has an active Scale subscription.

You must provide valid payment information to subscribe to a paid plan. Payments are handled by Stripe through its Managed Payments service, under which Stripe, through Link, is the merchant of record for your purchase. Stripe collects the payment and applicable taxes, sends receipts and invoices, and may provide payment support and refunds. Charges appear on your statement with the prefix LINK.COM*.

Prices exclude applicable taxes, which are calculated and collected at checkout. Prices are set in US dollars and may be shown and charged in your local currency.

Plan requirement and credits

Creating or modifying Service resources, starting or restarting work, and consuming credits require an organization on the Start plan or with an active Scale subscription. Creating new work also requires available credits. AI-powered features and purchases of extra credits require an active Scale subscription. During an applicable grace period, you may view and export existing data but may not start new work or modify its configuration.

Subscription credits are included with your plan and expire at the end of each billing period. Start plan credits expire 30 days after they are granted. Extra credits can be purchased in units of 1,000 at the rate of your current plan. They expire 90 days after purchase, whether or not your subscription is still active. All credits can only be consumed while your organization is on the Start plan or has an active Scale subscription. Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Billing and renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period. Your payment method will be charged automatically on your renewal date unless you cancel before then.

Extralt reserves the right to modify pricing with at least 30 days notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing period.

If you believe your bill is incorrect, you must contact us within 60 days of the invoice date to be eligible for an adjustment.

Definitions

The following terms describe organization states related to subscription cancellation, non-payment, and account closure:

  • Suspended: Your organization's Customer Data is retained but inaccessible. Account and billing access remain available so you may restore access before deactivation.
  • Deactivated: Your organization is permanently closed. Access is revoked and cannot be restored. Deactivation is an access state and does not itself confirm physical deletion of Customer Data.

Non-payment and suspension

If your subscription expires, is cancelled, or your payment fails, the following applies. An organization whose subscription has ended does not return to the Start plan.

  • Grace period (0-30 days): For 30 days after your last active subscription period ends, your Customer Data is read-only through the dashboard and API. You may view your data and create exports, but you cannot create or modify resources, start runs, or consume credits. You may still stop active work, pause schedules, manage billing and account security, and safely replay a completed idempotent API request.
  • Suspended (30-180 days): After 30 days without an active subscription, Customer Data is inaccessible through the dashboard, API, exports, Explore, Agent, and other data surfaces. Account and billing access remain available for reactivation.
  • Deactivated (after 180 days): After 180 days without an active subscription, your organization is permanently deactivated. This action is irreversible and the organization can no longer be restored. Deactivation does not itself mean that Customer Data has been physically deleted.

During the grace period and before deactivation, you may restore full access by subscribing to a new plan, with no loss of data.

Plan changes

You may upgrade or downgrade your subscription plan at any time. Plan changes work as follows:

  • Upgrades: You will be charged immediately for the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing period.
  • Downgrades: A downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period. The lower plan's price and credits apply from then.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or through Link. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. After cancellation, the non-payment and suspension terms described above apply.

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately for material breach of these Terms, including unauthorized use of the Service, violation of acceptable use policies, or non-payment.

Refunds

Subscription fees and credits are generally non-refundable. You will not receive a refund for unused time remaining in your billing period or for unused credits when you cancel.

If you are charged incorrectly due to a billing error (such as a duplicate charge or incorrect amount), we will refund the erroneous amount in full upon verification. You must notify us within 60 days of the charge.

Extra credits are non-refundable once purchased, regardless of usage.

All refunds are issued to the original payment method. To request a refund, contact us at support@extralt.com.

Account and organization closure

You may delete your organization at any time through your account settings. Organization deletion is immediate and irreversible. Upon deletion, your subscription is cancelled and all access is revoked. Data retention following closure is described in our Privacy Policy.

You may delete your user account at any time. Account deletion is managed by our authentication provider and removes that person's access. It does not delete organizations or Customer Data belonging to organizations that continue to exist.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

EXTRALT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY DATA EXTRACTED USING THE SERVICE.

Websites may change their structure, block access, or modify their content at any time. Extralt is not responsible for changes to third-party websites that affect the Service's ability to extract data.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EXTRALT'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE, INCLUDING PAYMENTS COLLECTED BY OUR MERCHANT OF RECORD, IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, AND (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100).

IN NO EVENT SHALL EXTRALT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER EXTRALT WAS ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Extralt and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your extraction of data from third-party websites, including any claims that such extraction violates the rights of any third party
  • Your use of extracted data

Service availability

Extralt aims for high availability but does not guarantee a specific uptime percentage. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

AI processing

Certain features of the Service use AI processing. This includes translation, taxonomy classification, embedding generation, variant assembly, and AI assistant responses that may use chat messages, page context, tool results, and relevant dashboard state. AI processing is performed by third-party providers on our behalf. You acknowledge that AI-generated results may contain errors and should be verified for critical use cases.

Third-party services

The Service may integrate with or rely on third-party services for functionality such as authentication, payment processing, hosting, and AI processing. These services are not under Extralt's control, and we are not responsible for their availability, content, or practices.

Force majeure

Extralt shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, government actions, internet or infrastructure failures, or third-party service outages.

Export compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable export control laws and trade sanctions. You represent that you are not located in, or a resident of, any country subject to comprehensive sanctions, and that you are not on any restricted party list maintained by the United States, European Union, or other applicable jurisdiction.

Modification to terms

Extralt reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to conflict of law principles.

In the event of any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, either party may pursue resolution through the courts located in Paris, France, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

General provisions

Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any applicable order forms, constitute the entire agreement between you and Extralt regarding the Service.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

No waiver: Extralt's failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without Extralt's prior written consent. Extralt may assign these Terms to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

No agency: Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between you and Extralt.
